Peacefully went to her final sleep on December 20, 2005 at home in Sacramento, CA, USA. Meleane was born at Tu'anekivale, Vava'u in the island of Tonga on February 16, 1911. She has departed to join her mother Siu Taisa Havea, her father Sione Tea and Samiuela Mu'omu'a Fakalata, and her beloved husband. Tevita and Sinai's home at 5 Triton Ct will be open for family prayers in the evening on Monday, Dec. 26, Tuesday, Dec. 27, and on Wednesday, Dec. 28. Memorial services will be held at East Lawn, 3939 Fruitridge Rd. on Thursday, Dec. 29, from 6:00-10:00 PM. Funeral services will be at East Lawn on Friday morning at 10:00 AM and burial will be at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd., at 12:00 PM. Meleane, you lived a good life, and we all thank you for all the sacrifices you made for us. You taught us to believe in God, and you led by example. Words cannot express all the love, we have for you. Let's just say, we all love you, and you will live in our hearts forever. Thank you for the memories.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank church members, family, and friends, and everyone who has helped Melanie during her lifetime. Our prayers are with you all. May God bless you.

Dearest Grama, I love you. We miss you. Thank you for all your love and strength and understanding.I thank our Heavanly Father that you were with us and that you were able to see your great-grandchildren. They love you lots. Though we miss you, we will always have you near, in our hearts and memories. We know you are in a better place there, with our Heavanly Father. To all Grama's children, Lemeki, Manusiu, Kelesi, Finau, Sione, Huni, Moala, Faleola, Tule, Tevita and Vea, we love you and may God bless you and carry you during this time. Lovingly,

Grandma, Thank you for the loving memories. You've instilled independence, love and the importance of family in all of us. I remember the stories you told me and the advise you gave me during your last days with us. I will always treasure you and I thank you for allowing me to care for you in the end. You were such a thoughtful person and you cared about all of us the same. My children (Michelle and Cheyenne) were lucky to have had you in their lives and I am sure they will treasure you forever. Although I am sad that you are gone from this world, I am happy that you are in a better place. WE LOVE YOU.
