William Turner Obituary

William F. Turner 1950 ~ 2007 LAYTON - Bill Turner, 56, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007. He was born September 5, 1950 in Los Angeles, CA the son of Melvin "Bill" and Charlene Marshall Turner. He married Pamela K. McKellar on May 6, 1978 in Inglewood, CA. Bill was not involved in organized religion, but had a very deep sincere, childlike faith in the one true and Living God. Bill was a loyal and devoted husband and father. A man who set a great example of love, by doing whatever was needed to provide for those he loved, even when that meant he had to go without. He had a sense of humor that was unquenchable, even up until his last few days. Bill was a gentle private man who was fair and loving, his discipline in prayer for others in need was what defined him as the man he became until his death. We, as his family know the only way he could be more intimate with the Father, was to be in His presence. Surviving are his wife Pam Turner, son, Brett Turner, London, England; daughter Chelsey (Jeff) Benson, San Diego, CA; daughter Naomi Turner, Tucson, AZ; sister Cindy Gannon, CA; nieces and nephew, Trevor (Lisa), Debbie (Tom), Kim (Johnny), all of California. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. No public viewing will be held. Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations are made to American Lung Association. e-mail condolences to the family at [email protected]
