Rose Scroggins Obituary

Rose Anderson Scroggins, born on October 3, 1924, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at Chapel of the Roses in Atascadero. She was born in Derby City, Colo., and as a young girl moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she grew up and attended South High School. She worked at Hill Air Force Base during World War II. She later worked as an attendant for Brown Ambulance Service in Long Beach, Calif. After retiring, she moved to Paso Robles, where she helped raise three of her great-grandchildren. One of her passions was baking cakes and cupcakes for her friends and family. She was an active, dedicated member of the Truth Tabernacle church in Paso Robles. Rose is survived by her children, Robin (Rose) Hoxie of Paso Robles, Donald (Rusty) Sams and wife Beverly of Caldwell, Idaho, Richard Sams and wife Emma of Bellflower, Calif., Tamie Rangel of Redlands, Calif., and James Scroggins of Redlands, Calif.; her grandchildren, Kevin and Tracy Linam of Wendover, Nev., Terry and Becky Linam of Las Vegas, Nev., Katie and Natalie Rangel of Redlands, Calif., Donald and Dennis Sams of Caldwell, Idaho, and Greg and Holly Padilla of Santa Monica, Calif.; her great-grandchildren, Josh and Bianca Linam, Jeff Linam, Paul and Jennifer Linam, Nicole Linam, Dennis and Jessica Crews, McKayla Duncan and Danny and Tisha Rader; her great, great- grandchildren, Kaleb Linam, Kristopher and Penelope Sanchez, Revis Crews and Osten Vargas; she is also survived by seven of her 14 siblings, Shirley Hancock and husband Ed, Micky Ralfe, Elsa Wilde and husband Jerry, Betty Dennis and husband Tad, Bill Skuppin and wife Hannah, Bob Skuppin, Alvin Anderson and wife Betty Ann, all of Salt Lake City, Utah. All of us are blessed to have had this compassionate, loving, caring person in our lives. ?God has welcomed her home.

dear robin and family, i only met your mom once or twice when she came to albertsons with you but we spoke of her so often i felt i knew her well and was very sad to hear of her passing. just know you are all in my thoughts and prayers and know she is in a better place and is watching over all of you.i will truly miss asking how she is doing and talking about her well being. love nina at albertsons paso robles
