Up until her illness had confined her to her home, she attended and was an avid volunteer at Resurrection Catholic Church in Aptos.
Mrs. Peterson was an accomplished world traveler. She and her husband visited distant locations including Europe, Tahiti and many many memory filled trips to Hawaii. Her family will forever cherish her last trip to Hawaii. In spite of her failing health, she and her husband were joined in Hawaii by their children and grandchildren this past May.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Phil Peterson of Aptos, her mother Luba Steen of Belmont, her daughter Suzanne Peterson of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and her son and daughter in-law, Philip "Chip" Peterson and Jacqueline Peterson of Aptos. She also leaves her five loving grandchildren: Alexandra, Treyton, Jeremy, Corey, and Braxton.
The service will be at Resurrection Catholic Church (7600 Soquel Drive in Aptos) on Monday, September 19, 2005, beginning at 10 a.m. A private cremation and committal will take place under the direction of Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel. The family asks that remembrances be made to
