Tracy where should I begin. I have no clue. There are so many words that I could use to describe Dougie, but none of them seem good enough. He was a man that I was proud to call friend. He taught me what it meant to be one. He was a big brother I could always go to when it got a little to tough. Most of all he always had my back even when the odds were in someone else's favor. I leave you with only our love for you and the boys and the heartfelt gratitude for the family that the both of you gave to my wife and me. Love J.D., Erin, Audie, Chloie and Gunnar "Dougie"

Dear Tracy, Angus & Thomas,

Doug will ALWAYS be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. What can we say that has not already been said. We loved him like the brother he was. His smile can still be seen every time the sun shines. When you feel the warmth on your faces, the gentle wind blowing across your bodies and that feeling of strength that came out of the blue, you'll know it's Doug. He has and will always be your rock. He has earned his wings of gold and will always be riding in the sun with that same gentle wind blowing across his body and that beautiful smile on his face looking down at the love he left behind. You were his love and his life forever. As you know, we are always here for you all.

All our love,

Bull,Maureen,Joseph,Matthew & Gillian.

P.S. I love you girl.(Maureen)

P.S.S. Matthew's heart and love for choke went into his drawing.(you know what I mean) :-)

That handsome, lively boy with a twinkle in his eye, who I knew from Lorain, Ohio, moved on to Kansas, Arizona, Georgia and Afghanistan. He made his last journey from a bike, much much too soon, but doing what he loved.

With great sadness I send hugs to Ginger, Bob, Leigh Ann and Bill. To Tracy, Angus and Thomas I wish you strength and peace, knowing that your husband and father has gone on ahead to make sure everything's gonna be alright.

Little we knew that night That God would call your name In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide. And thought we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again. Tracy our thoughts& prayers are with you and the boys. Sorry about your loss. Choke will be dearly missed here in PhenixCity AL. Ma'am,

I'm sorry for your loss. I worked with Doug in A Co, at Ft. Benning. It was an act of courage when he left. I haven't heard from or about him in 11 years. He was a good man. I'm sure he was a good husband, father, and friend. It's a shame I didn't know you were there. I was in Savannah for 10 months and never knew he was just down the road. I hope you and your boys find peace and comfort in the days to come. Rest easy brother, blue skies. RLTW.

Rolling Through the Streets of Gold

From across the miles your voice was heard,

You honored our friendship and you gave your word.

Thank you for your kind ear and your patient heart,

From the roads of black top, to roads of gold, we must

part.

It is said that only the good die young, and this I

know,

So God called you home, no looking back, friend you

must go.

The legend of your undying soul lives on through the

eyes of your boys,

To look at their sweet faces fills my heart with not

sadness, but joy.

There are so many things that wish I could have said

or done,

Maybe I feel as if I have regrets, but just to say

That I knew you, I have none.

I will wear you name embedded here inside my weary

soul,

It brings a smile to my face and I hold it dear, I’ll

never truly let go.

There are many questions, yet only one answer in my

mind,

See God has a Harley, and I hear that a good riding

partner is hard to find.

So he looked among the many bikers and it was you that

he chose,

Why he had to take you so soon, so suddenly, only

Heaven knows.

There is one thing that overwhelms my sprit, through

all the tears I’ve cried,

The man upstairs is rolling through the streets of

gold with a WINGMEN by his side.

In loving memory of Douglas Bruce
