Frank Victor FRANZIN Frank V. Franzin passed away peacefully on May 24, 2009. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and friend. Born in Busca, Italy he crossed the Atlantic on his first birthday. After graduating from Franklin H.S. he served in the US Navy during WWII, he was a postman for over 30 yrs then a King County health inspector for another 20 yrs. He was a life member of Sgt. Fletcher Daniels Post #4137 VFW, National Association of Letter Carriers, Local 17 of Professional and Technical Engineers, Retired Letter Carriers, Italian Independent Society, the Italian Club, Westside Italian Civic Club and Jefferson Park Lawn Bowling Club. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice. Survived by two daughters Marilyn K. Nelson and Barbara J. Sumey, two grandchildren Katie and Andy Noble and "his boys." A joyous Celebration of Frank's Life will be held at Bleitz Funeral Home on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 1:00 PM. Remembrances may be made to Disabled American Veterans. I will certainly miss hearing the daily adventures of Mr. Franzin from Marilyn. I will cherish the memories of the Super Bowl Party, seeing Mr. Franzin drop by Highland Park when Marilyn was absent that day with her lesson plans, viewing pictures from the ocean property, and with "the boys." Mr. Franzin had a heart and was an amazing man. He is dearly missed and is watching over his family from heaven.
