Julieta Neyra Obituary

SOUTH BEND - Julieta Neyra, beloved daughter, wife and mother, died May 7th from brain cancer at the age of 35. Julie was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she pursued a career as a graphic designer. Julie moved with her family to Indiana in 2003, and was pursuing a master's in business degree from the University of Notre Dame. She will be remembered for many qualities, including her strength of will, beauty, grace, intelligence, compassion and fantastic cooking. Julie will be missed by her family and friends all over the world. She is survived by her husband, Pablo Valencia, her two children, Paula and Mateo, aged 6 and 3, and her parents, Dr. Godofredo Neyra and Dr. Julieta Lee-Eng. A memorial Mass will be held at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, University of Notre Dame, at 3:30 in the afternoon on Monday, May 12. Donations may be made in Julieta's name to the Early Childhood Development Center of Notre Dame.
