Caroline Witt Obituary

Easton Caroline (Skinner) Witt, 65, a lifelong resident of Easton died unexpectedly at home Thursday, June 19, 2008. She was the former wife of Carl C. Witt Jr. of Maine. Born in Brockton, Feb. 26, 1943, a daughter of the late Leslie and Hazel (Cook) Skinner, she was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. Caroline was employed as an administrative assistant for the past 23 years at the Old Colony Facility of MCI Bridgewater. She was a member of the Eastern Starr, was an avid cook and enjoyed camping and playing cards. In addition to her former husband, she is survived by three sons, James Witt of Easton, John Witt of Easton and Joseph Witt of Easton; four brothers, Leslie Skinner of Vermont, Russell Skinner of Bridgewater, Paul Skinner of South Carolina and Kenneth Skinner of Vermont; her dog, Holly; and her "grand-dogs", Nikos and Otis. She was also the sister of the late Franklin Skinner and Donald Skinner. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Monday at 2 p.m. in the Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington St. (Rte. 138), Easton. Private cremation will follow.
