Mary R. Gorman

Brockton Mary R. (Roberts) Gorman, of Brockton, formerly of Boston, died at the age of 76, July 4, 2008. Wife of the late Gerard J. Gorman; sister of the late Louis B. Roberts; dear sister-in-law of Margaret Roberts and Linda Roberts; beloved aunt of Paula Wrobleski of Connecticut, Denise Roberts of Virginia and Brenda Maloney of Connecticut; also survived by a grandniece and grandnephew. Mrs. Gorman was a retired librarian for the Commonwealth of Mass. She had been a librarian at Boston State College and when she retired she was at Massasoit Community College, Brockton. She had a BA degree in History and a masters degree in Library Science. She had been a librarian for over 30 years. She was born in Boston and had lived in Brockton since 1962. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook. Funeral services Friday, at 9 a.m. in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited attend. Visiting hours Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
