George Jordan Obituary

Bridgewater George E. Jordan Jr. "Doc," of Bridgewater, died at Good Samaritan Hospital, in Brockton, on July 9, 2008 after a long illness. He was 53. Born in Brockton, a son of George E. Sr. and M. Shirley (McGinn). George served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Lexington on the flight deck. He worked for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed NASCAR, riding his Harley and fishing. George was a member of the Lincoln Club and the Vets Club in Bridgewater. Also he was well loved and a kind hearted soul. He was the husband of Tracy (Davis); father of George E. III and Stephanie both of Pensacola, Fla.; brother of Linda Heath of Bridgewater, Janice Kazlauski of Lakeville, Barry of Pelham, N.H. and William of San Diego, Calif. Also survived by one granddaughter. A graveside service will be held on Saturday in Mount Prospect Cemetery. Bridgewater at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. To Tracey and the rest of Doc's family:

I was deeply saddened to hear of Doc's passing. I recently had the honor to serve as his Rehabilitation Teacher addressing his sight loss. He was a great guy and I promise to always keep him in my heart & prayers! Doc, you can again ride your Harley as much as you like!! God bless you all!
