Shawn Lafond Obituary

Lakeville Shawn Frankie Lafond, age 34, of Lakeville, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston, after a 15-month illness. He was born Monday, November 12, 1973 in Littleton, N.H. and was the loving husband of Joanne (Douglas) Lafond. Shawn was an avid NASCAR fan with Jeff Gordon, #24, his favorite. In addition to his wife Joanne he is survived by his mother Roseanne Lafond of N.H.; two children Dakotta Lafond of Lakeville and Brianna Ash of N.H.; two step children Joseph and Daniella Fasano of Lakeville; a brother Ronald Lafond of N.H.; a sister Michelle Briggs of N.H.; his grandmother Nancy Davis; many aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on July 19, 2008, at 11 a.m, in Christ Congregational Church, 1350 Pleasant St. Brockton, MA. Memorial visitation will take place one hour before the service (10-11 a.m.) at the Church. A collation will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Church Building Fund, Christ Congregational Church, 1350 Pleasant St. Brockton, MA 02301. I feel like I knew Shawn from all the wonderful thing that I have heard about him from you mother ,as to what a great father, husand and friend he was to everyone that came in contact with him. He will be sadly missed but remember he will always be in the hearts and souls of the people who knew him best. I am so sorry for your loss.

Shawn will be missed by all of us at Dan Gilmartin P & H. Dan, Ron, Eric, Rob, and Bernie. Shawn was tough on the outside, but a very gentle and loving Father who worked hard to make life for his family better. I know you are in a better place now Shawn, you will not be forgotten.
