Elizabeth Allen Obituary

Lydon, Vt. Elizabeth Betty (Rines) Allen, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008, at The Pines, Lydon, at the age of 74. She was the wife of the late Edwin R Allen Sr., who predeceased her Feb. 15, 1997. She had been a former resident of Lake-ville, Mass., before moving in with her son Ed and his wife Ginny Allen in Waterford, and had been a resident of The Pines for the past 5 years. She had worked at the Oak Hill Nursing Home as a certified nurses assistant for several years. She enjoyed reading and knitting. Survivors include one son, Edwin and his wife Ginny Allen of Waterford; two daughters, Cathy and her husband Dale Prevette of Lakeville, Brenda and her husband Jim Harrington of Plymouth, Mass.; one son-in-law, Paul Siegmund of Falmouth, Mass.; one brother, Richmond and his wife June Rines of Taunton, Mass.; one sister, Martha Seiberg of New Port Richey, Fla.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Robin Siegmund. A memorial graveside service will be held Friday, July 18, 2008, at Nemasket Hill Cemetery, Plymouth Street, Middleboro, Mass., at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472, would be appreciated.
