David Crowley Obituary

Brockton David J. Crowley, 80 years, of Brockton, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Bos-ton. He was the husband of Pat-ricia A. (Julian) Crowley. Mr. Crowley was born in Brockton, a son of the late George and Nora (Magee) Crowley and remained a lifelong resident of the city. He was a graduate of Brockton High School. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Crowley retired from City Glass Company, where he worked as a glazier, previously he worked for Hill Plastering Company and for Brockton Hospital. Mr. Crowley was a member of the Enterprise Club. He enjoyed yard work and was an avid reader, reading two newspapers a day. He was the husband for 58 years of Patricia; and father of the late David J. Crowley Jr. He was also grandfather of Laurie-Ann Crowley of Brockton and David and Michael Crowley, both of Houston; and great-grandfather of Tyler, Charles and Meadow Higgins, Michael and Joseph Crowley; brother of Betty Finn of East Bridgewater and the late George Patrick Crowley and Robert Crowley. Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Monday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church at 9 a.m. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
