Concetta M. Pitaro

Brockton Concetta Connie M. Pitaro, 86, of Brockton, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, after a period of failing health. Born Aug. 3, 1921, in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Domenick Pitaro and Elda (Savini) Pitaro. Lifelong resident of Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton High School. Connie was in retail service for 35 years. The last 30 years she worked at K-Mart, where she was honored many times for her distinguished service. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Edwards Parish and also a member of St. Edwards Ladies Sodality. Ms. Pitaro was an avid baseball and basketball fan. She was a very kind, caring and generous person. She is survived by her brother, Carl Pitaro and his wife Patricia of East Bridgewater; and her cousin, Theresa Pitaro of Brockton. She was also the cousin of the late Rev. Msgr. Mimie Pitaro, Mario Pitaro, Joseph Pitaro, Lunda Pitaro, Mary Pizzorno, Carie Sebelia and Elizabeth Froio. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Monday, July 21, at 8 a.m. thence to St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
