Ruth Ann Carlson

East Bridgewater Ruth Ann (Miller) Carlson, age 77 years, passed away Monday at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edgar Whitey Carlson. Born in Cambridge, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. Sr. and Olive (Ross) Miller. Raised in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1948, and had been a resident of East Bridgewater for the past 42 years. She was a homemaker and at one time was employed by the former King Size Clothing Co. Ruth also enjoyed playing cribbage. She is survived by a son, Aaron C. Carlson and wife Terry of East Bridgewater; a daughter, Lisa Carlson of New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Jason, Cory and Amanda; and a sister, Eleanor Karn and companion Enrico Parziale of Carver; as well as several nieces and nephews. A brother, Harry J. Miller Jr, preceded her in death. A funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton. Interment will follow the service in Plymouth County Cemetery, Plymouth.
