Patricia Wasil Obituary

Brockton Patricia M. (Hanna) Wasil, 58 years, of Brockton, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was born and raised in Dorchester, a daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Hannon) Hanna. Patricia was a graduate of St. Patrick High School in Boston, and moved to Brockton 37 years ago. She had been employed by Shaws on the south side of Brockton as a cashier for the past 12 years. Mrs. Wasil will be remembered by those who knew and loved her as a kind hearted, generous and loving person; who enjoyed hard work and having fun. She enjoyed reading and cooking, but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters and a son, Diane White and her husband Mark of Georgia, Donna Wasil, Debra Miller and her husband Charles, Ronald W. Wasil, all of Brockton and the late Joseph Wasil; fourteen grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Falco of Rockland; two brothers, Donald of Georgia and James Hanna of Rockland and the late Paul and John Hanna; and her brother-in-law, Michael Wasil. She was the wife of the late Ronald W. Wasil. There will be a funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Thursday, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church, at 9 a.m. Cremation to follow. I knew Pat from Shaws, my daughter also worked with her, she was a funny lady and a great person, she will be missed. Pat was always eager to help when checking out at the store, we had some good laughs. She will sorely be missed. Our sympathy is sent out to the entire family, hopefully you will find peace in time.
