Ruth Dymond Obituary

PEMBROKE Ruth Noni (Anderson) Dymond, of Pembroke, formerly of Hanson, passed peacefully into rest, Oct. 5, 2008. Born in Boston, Ruth worked in the shipyards during World War II. She was an active member of the Whitman VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 697 and the Mass. DPW Retirees Club, as well as, an avid reader, traveler, dancer and gourmet cook. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward S. Dymond; longtime companion of Wilfred Roberts of Whitman; loving mother of Noel Cross and her husband Gerd; adored grandmother of Dr. Megan Hannon and her husband John, Matthew, Nicole and Jonathan Cross, all of Pembroke; devoted sister of Phyllis Andrews of Hanson. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rte. 14), Pembroke, Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 580 Monponsett St. (Rte. 58), Halifax, Thursday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. So very sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. I will miss her in our wednesday "clinic". I am grateful for the short amount of time we had to get to know each other. Peace and hugs to the family. Thank you for sharing this very special woman.

To Ruth's family,
I was so saddened to hear of Ruth's passing. I worked with her in the late '60's at the DPW in Middleboro, and she was a great friend. My sincere sympathy to you all.
