Mary Doucette Obituary

HALIFAX Mary A. (Zanellato) Doucette, of Halifax, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at her home, after a long illness. She was 49 years old. She was the loving wife of Paul Doucette of Halifax; beloved daughter of Agnes Zanellato (Smith) of Halifax and the late Leo D. Zanellato; cherished mother of Anthony Anderson and his wife Pamela of Holbrook; stepmother of Jennifer Doucette of Duxbury and Nicholas Doucette of Halifax; devoted sister of Lelio Zanellato of Plymouth, Marcello Zanellato of Halifax, Dominic Zanellato of Halifax, Theresa Dickson of Plympton, Anne Marie Smith of Halifax and the late Alfred Zanellato. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary worked as a cook at the Wingate Nursing Home in Kingston. She was an artist who enjoyed drawing and face painting at many childrens parties. She also enjoyed cooking outside of her work. Calling hours Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 4-8 p.m. in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St. (at Rte. 58), Hanson. A funeral service will be celebrated Thursday at 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Central Cemetery, Halifax.
