Julia Renna Obituary

HALIFAX Julia M. (Flynn) Renna, 78, of Halifax, died Monday, Oct. l3, in her home. She was born in Arlington, Sept. 12, 1930, a daughter of the late George and Margaret C. (Connor) Flynn. She was raised and educated in the South End of Boston. She had lived many years in Halifax, then in Bridgewater, before moving back to Halifax eight years ago. Mrs. Renna was formerly employed as a sales clerk at Walmart in Halifax. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and was a caregiver for many Alzheimer's patients. Wife of the late Nicholas P. Renna Sr., she is survived by one son, Nicholas P. Renna Jr. of Halifax; two daughters, Judith P. Sacco of Sandwich and Linda Hearn of Missouri; two sisters, Mary MacLean of Newton and Margaret Waldron of West Roxbury; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Nicole and Brittany. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Flynn, George Flynn, Robert Flynn and Helen Norton. The funeral Mass will be Friday, at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 580 Monponsett St., Rte. 58, in Halifax (Monponsett). Interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, in Bourne, at 11:15 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Sullivan Funeral Home, corner of Rte. 14 and 58, in Hanson. Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Greater Brockton, 500 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301.
