Edwin Steele Obituary

ROCKLAND Edwin Francis Steele, of Rockland, formerly of Milton, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, Oct. 26, 2008. Born in Boston, Mr. Steele was a carpenter in the construction industry and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Ann (Finerty) Steele; father of Joanne Steele Albaugh of Bridgewater; Michele Paula Earnshaw of Brockton, Christine S. Newfell of Northboro, and the late Paul M. Steele; brother of Thomas Earl Steele of Braintree, Dorothy Steele and Evelyn McDonald, both of Milton and the late Anna Falcone, Bertha Shea, Herbert, Helen, Ethel and Louis Steele. Edwin is survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agathas Church, Milton, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave., Milton, Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. Interment Milton Cemetery.
