Catherine OConnor Obituary

Catherine OConnor FOXBORO Catherine (McDonald) OConnor, age 84, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at her home, surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was a daughter of the late William and Johanna (Dalton) McDonald and was born in Boston, Oct. 6, 1924. She married her husband John J. OConnor in Boston. Before moving to Foxborough, she spent her summers in Sandwich and wintered in Englwood, Fla. Catherine worked for several years for the Randy Sneaker Company in Randolph and waitressed part time in Sandwich. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets for her family and was an avid reader. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She was the wife of the late John J. OConnor; beloved mother of Maureen and her husband Leon Bowen of Foxborough and the late John J. OConnor; loving sister of Dorothy Sullivan of Randolph, Sister Ann William of New Jersey, Agatha OCallaghan of Randolph, Beatrice McNeily of Randolph, Frances Davis of Natick and the late James, Stanley, Joseph, John and Walter McDonald. Also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Please omit flowers. Donations in Catherines memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial Mass Monday, Nov. 3, at 9 a.m. at St. Marys Church, Carpenter Street, Foxborough.
