Thomas Kenney Obituary

Thomas F. Kenney NORTON Thomas F. Kenney, 78, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, Oct. 16, while on an annual hunting trip in Pennsylvania. Tom was a resident of Norton for 46 years. He was a retired correctional officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at Norfolk. Born July 16, 1930, in Fall River, he was a son of the late Ruth (Chadburn) Kenney and Thomas A. Kenney. He was educated in the Fall River schools and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Kenney was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman. His love for storytelling and his sense of humor will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. Husband to the late Florence Lorraine Kenney and father to the late William Billy Kenney, Thomas is survived by his friend and companion, Madeleine Yates of Norton; three children, Thomas Kenney of Channelview, Texas, Stephen Kenney of Tennessee and Catherine Willis of Easton; six grandchildren, Andrea Falciano, Lee Kenney, Jennifer Willis, Michelle Willis, Ryan Kenney and Jaison Kenney; three great-grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Florence Pelletier Haladin of Fall River. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Pocasset Hill Cemetery in Tiverton, R.I. Family and friends are welcome to attend, as there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in the name of Thomas F. Mr. Kenney,
Sir, as fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during the Korean War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
