Alfred DePaulo Obituary

HALIFAX Alfred A. DePaulo, of Halifax, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, in Brockton, Saturday evening, Oct. 25, 2008, after a long illness. He was 79. Alfred was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He served on the Board of Water Commissioners in Halifax for 15 years and also served as a constable for many years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara A. (Keane) DePaulo; and former husband of Shirley Palermo of Maryland; father of Robert and Kenneth DePaulo, Deborah Meyer and Denise Garrett, all of Maryland; brother of Richard L. DePaulo of Braintree and the late Alice Clark of Quincy; uncle of Richard A. Clark of Halifax. Visiting hours will held in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St. (corner of Rte. 58), Hanson, Thursday, 4-7 p.m., with services in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Cherished childhood memories with you and Nana (Mary DePaulo) live on in our hearts. Rest in peace now with her, Johnny and other loved ones who left us to soon. Sincere condolences to all those who mourn your loss.

Mr. DePaulo,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USMC during the Korean War and secondly for the citizens of Massachusetts when you served as a Constable. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
