Rosa Figueiredo Obituary

STOUGHTON Rosa R. (Soares) Figueiredo, 90, died Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Blue Hills Alzheimers Care Center in Stoughton, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Joao C. Figueiredo. Born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, she moved to the United States in 1969 and settled in Stoughton in 1971. She worked as a machine operator at Corcoran Shoe in Stoughton for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Zinalia Sousa of Tennessee, Jose A. Figueiredo of Fall River, Natalia Sousa of Canada, Albino Figueiredo of Connecticut, Fernanda Figueiredo of Portugal and Joao M. Figueiredo of Stoughton. She was the sister of Joao Reis of Canada. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton, Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday, 6-9 p.m. Entombment will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel Mausoleum in Fall River.
