Mary Baun Obituary

Mary M. Baun ISELIN, N.J. Mary M. Peggy Baun, 77, of Iselin, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at J.F.K. Medical Center, Edison. Born in Newark, she lived in Irvington before moving to Iselin in 1965. She worked at Caldors Department store in Woodbridge for 15 years, retiring 1995, and prior she worked at EJ Korvett Department Store, also in Woodbridge. Peggy loved being with her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband George Baun 1986; brother, Michael McCarthy. Surviving is her son, Frank Baun of Iselin; her daughter, Sheila, and son-in-law, Bernie Fitzgerald of North Easton, Mass.; a brother, John McCarthy of West Orange; and her sister, Eileen, and brother-in-law, Fred DeCapua of Iselin; also two grandchildren, Shannon and Logan Fitzgerald. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at 9 a.m., at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Cecelia Church, Iselin. Burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Family requests donations to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
