Karen Vazquez Obituary

Karen A. Vazquez BROCKTON Karen A. Vazquez, 49 years, of Brockton, died Nov. 11, 2008, at St. Joseph Manor, after a lengthy illness. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy (Rafferty) Burr. She graduated from Massasoit Community College in 1987 after earning her bachelor's degree in nursing. She had been employed by Good Samaritan Medical Center, Goddard Memorial Hospital, had been a head charge nurse at Forge Pond Nursing Home in East Bridgewater and a private duty nurse for patients with Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy. Karen loved being a grandmother and enjoyed bingo, music and shopping. She is survived by a son, Todd Guevara of Taunton; her grandchildren, Tamari, Tatiana, Demetrius, Alexavier and Elizabeth; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A memorial gather-ing will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Saturday, 12-3 p.m. with a prayer service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Karens name may be made to the Patients Activity Fund at St. Joseph Manor, 215 Thatcher St., Brockton, MA 02302. Our common friend left this world at the same age 49 yes my beloved soul mate dianne Hill of Brockton, left this life early too! as you may have or may not have known she was the kindest most deserving woman in this life and will be sadly missed by all that knew her,till we meet again may god have you both safe now, and forever more, may eternal love always be with you both forever
