Virginia Berryman Obituary

ROCKLAND Virginia F. (Hiram) Berryman, 85, of Rockland, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at Coyne Healthcare Center, after a period of failing health. She was born in Norwell, daughter of the late Francis and Ann (Damon) Hiram, and had lived most of her life as a Rockland resident. She was a loving mother and grandmother and devoted all of her time to raising her family. Wife of the late Kenneth S. Berryman Sr., she is survived by her children, George R. Berryman of Norwood, Elaine E. LaRonde of North Carolina, Charles Berryman of Lakeville, Fred S. Berryman of Plymouth, Diane M. Kieffer of Rockland, Linda A. Vail of Hanson, Thomas B. Berryman of Brockton and Debra G. Sylvia of Rockland. Virginia was also the mother of the late Kenneth S. Berryman Jr., John R. Berryman, Francis H. Berryman and Scott M. Berryman. Mrs. Berryman leaves three sisters and was the sister-in-law of Elaine Damon. Also surviving are 41 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St., Rockland. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, in Rockland.
