To Jean, Robert, Ruth and Betty,
Your mother was a lovely lady and I'm so pleased I knew her. She brought a lot of good cheer to wherever she was and I remember her fondly at church and being involved with things going on in our neighborhood.
I think the last time I saw her was about 6 years ago when she stopped into the Lydia Drake Library where we were having a High Street (and vicinity) Reunion of old friends.
She was on her way to visit with Margaret Hill and looked really great - and we were all amazed she was driving at 92 - although she sure didn't look 92 - but that's what she said!! And she hugged me so tight I thought she must be working out!! Quite the amazing woman! I think what I remember most is that she was always kind and considerate and appreciative and thoughtful.
I was blessed with knowing many fine women as I grew up on High Street and your mom was one of the nicest.
I hope you all are well. God bless you and your families at this sad time.
In sympathy and friendship,
Jan Melanson Ford
