my grandfather lived an extremly happy life, he was always happy and joking around, his death was so unexpected and i am still in shock i love him and miss him dearly i will always have happy memories of him and i know he is up in heaven smile down us. I know he will always be watching over us. Grandpa, i miss you so much i wish you didnt have to go, as much as i and the rest of us feel we need you, god needed you more and all i can do is look up and smile because i know you are in a better place where there is no suffering or discomfort. I wish i couldve given you one last hug and kiss because i feel like we didnt get to say goodbye i know you will always be in my heart and some day i will join you but that doesnt erase the pain we all have now that you are gone. Nana misses you terribley she already knows your spirit is around in your house. Mom is crushed and wants you here with us and all of your grandsons and grand"things" ;] will always love and miss you. I cant be selfish because i know you were needed and like your son tom said you finished what you were here to accomplish and that was to set a strong foundation for a loving family. You cared for your whole family and even new members too we all miss you and are grieving. I say a prayer everynight that you will guide me and watch over me as well as the rest of our family.

I love you so much and miss you with all my heart Grandpa ;[

In my mind, the best bonding experience I had with Dennis was the first time I met him. We had a short conversation about 1970's Massachusetts politics and immediatly bonded. As my own grandfather died when I was four, Dennis was like rhe grandfather I never had. Perhaps the only man that I ever met who had a perpetual smile on his face, he will be missed by all those who have loved him; Indeed, all those who have known him. Surely he was an open soul who brought happiness to even those most tangental had knon him - but to those who knew him closely his passing was a deep burden. Yet still, I recognize that all of those who loved him, will keep him dear and remember the strength of our families. I love you all and strongly believe we will never forget each other and while we will never forget our loss, we will continue ans enjoy our lives together. Carol, if there is anything Krissy and I can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask *hugs*

Carol,
Both my wife and I worked with Dennis for many years in the lab at Plymouth Rubber. We just heard of his passing this morning and would have attended services. Dennis was a good friend and a pleasure to work with and will be remembered for his generous sense of humor. God bless you and your family.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kind words, Please take the time to read the following poem as I believe it's what Dennis would say to all of you.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
