Dorothy OConnor Obituary

Dorothy T. OConnor EASTON Dorothy T. (McGlynn) OConnor, 81, a resident of Easton for the past 31 years, died Thursday evening, at home, under the care of her family and hospice. She was the wife of Thomas J. OConnor for 60 years. Born in Cambridge, Sept. 10, 1927, a daughter of the late William and Theresa (Miller) McGlynn, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. A devoted wife and mother, she was an active communicant of the Holy Cross Church in Easton and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Dorothy enjoyed dancing and taking trips to the casinos to play the slot machines. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Thomas, she is survived by three children, Thomas OConnor of Attleboro, Daniel Ratliff of Freedom, N.H. and Richard OConnor of Easton; a sister, Patricia Kennedy of Randolph; two nieces, Beverly and Michelle; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Doreen Kelley and sister of the late Charles McGlynn, George McGlynn, Rena Santos, Alice White, John Campbell, Mary Butler and Douglas Campbell. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington St. (Rte.138), Easton, Tuesday, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10 a.m. Interment in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton. Visiting hours Monday, 4-8 p.m. Donations in Dorothys memory may be sent to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 141 Washington St., Taunton, MA. 02780.
