Norma L. Vinal

Norma L. Vinal WHITMAN Norma L. (Kyes) Vinal, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at her home in Whitman, after a long illness. She was 83. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank F.E. Vinal. Norma was born in Medford and a graduate of Lynn English High School. She worked as a nurses aid at Brockton Hospital and as a waitress at various restaurants in the area. She had been a resident of Whitman for over 55 years. She had run a home for disabled veterans in Whitman for over 53 years. A home for veterans that could not live any where and she took good care of so many veterans over the years. She loved knitting, crocheting and bowling. She is survived by her children, Robert C. Vinal of Quincy, Gerald E. Vinal of Whitman, Francis R. Vinal of Berkley, Katie A. Vinal of Salisbury and the late Ronald V. Vinal; daughter of the late Horace V. and Katherine M. (Barry) Kyes. Also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman, Monday, 7-9 p.m. Funeral service Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
