Brian McMahon Obituary

Brian J. McMahon MIDDLEBORO Brian J. McMahon, age 17 years, of Middleboro, died suddenly Thursday morning, Dec. 11, 2008, from injuries resulting from a car accident. Born in Taunton, he was a son of Joseph A. McMahon of Middleboro and Jeanne McMahon-Powers of Brockton. He was a senior at Middleboro High School and was to graduate in 2009. During the summer, he had worked at Catcher's in Hyannis. He enjoyed many hobbies and activities including, weight lifting, sailing, paintball and loud music. He will be warm-heartedly remembered as a hard worker, loving neighbor. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include both his parents, one brother, Nicholas J. McMahon, serving in Afghan-istan; two sisters, Stephanie A. McMahon of Raynham, Kimberly M. Powers of Lakeville; three nephews, Tyler E. and Cody J. Reynolds and Caden M. Cabral, all of Raynham; his paternal grandmother, Lena McMahon; his maternal grandmother, Linda L. Powers; his great-grandmother, Barbara E. Lakey of Middleboro; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Thomas McMahon and Terrance V. Powers. Visiting hours, to which realtives and friends are invited to attend, will be held Monday, Dec. 15, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St., Middleboro, Tuesday, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to McMahon-DeYoung Fund, c/o Mayflower Bank, P.O. Brian was our neighbor for the summer time with Ted and Becky. Brian was the most wonderful boy, he was respectful and hard working and would help anyone anytime.
