Eileen J. Kokinos

Eileen J. Kokinos Lynn Eileen J. (Gallagher) Kokinos, age 68, of Lynn past away Sunday at the Salem Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Brockton and was a daughter of the late Leland W. and Mildred (Callahan) Gallagher. Eileen was raised and educated in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1957. She had lived in Lynn since 1989 and previously lived in Peabody for 14 years. She worked as an operations assistant for New England Telephone in Boston for 31 years and retired in 1988. Eileen was a parishioner of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn and was also a member of the St. George Ladies, St. George Philoptochos Society and was a past president of the For Ever Young Club of St. George Church. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles C. Kokinos, with whom she had shared 30 years of marriage; and stepmother of the late Charles C. and Irene A. Kokinos. She was also the sister of the late Dorothy T. Raynard. Eileen is survived by a sister, Ann Corkum of Braintree; nieces, Mary Ann Corkum of Braintree, Patricia Corkum and her husband Frank Hom of Brighton and Maura Drew and her husband Jeff of Middleboro; nephews, Dr. James Corkum and his wife Meda of Baltimore, Md., and Thomas L. Raynard and his wife Karen of South Easton; and her dear friends, Rabbi Jonas Goldberg and his wife Rachelle of Marblehead. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn. There will also be a visiting period Friday from 9-10 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Lynn. Funeral services will follow the visiting period at 10 a.m. on Friday.
