Robert Shaughnessy Obituary

Hanover Robert L. Shaughnessy, died suddenly on Monday June 16, 2008. He was 63. Born in Boston attended Boston Schools and a graduate of Dorchester High School. He was employed by the Boston Generating Co. Formerly Boston Edison in Everett as a steam engineer for over 30 years. He was a member of Local 369. He has lived in Hanover for the past 21 years. He lived his summers in Falmouth and loved fishing and boating. He is survived by his wife Carleen E. (Forrester) Shaughnessy. Son of the late George L. and Anna (Geary) Shaughnessy. Loving father of Katie (Shaughnessy) Davis and her husband Rob, Robert W., Kara L., Megan N., and Deidre A.Shaughnessy, and his loving dog Triton all of Hanover. Brother of George Shaughnessy and his wife Donna of Whitman and Barbara OMalley and her late husband Patrick of Pembroke. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Calling hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home 760 Washington St. WHITMAN on Thursday 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, Hanover Friday morning at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
