Helen Faris Obituary

Braintree Helen Rose Faris, formerly of South Boston, born April 15, 1927, died peacefully in her sleep on June 25 in Braintree. Her four children including daughter Monica Frechette of Braintree and son Keith Faris of Iowa survive Helen. Helen will be sadly missed by her three grandchildren Jessica Frechette of South Boston, Philip Frechette of Braintree, and Sky Faris of Iowa, in addition to her sisters Mary Nania of South Boston, Frances Cratty of Abington, Eleanor Sennott of Natick, and sister-in-law Agnes Downey of Stoughton and her brothers the late James Downey of Stoughton, and Bernard Downey of North Carolina, and also many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist on School St. in Quincy, MA on Saturday June 28th at 10:00 a.m.

Monica...I am sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I have fond memories of trips to New Jersey when we were all kids. (Imagine: my father sometimes drove the roundtrip in a day!) I also remember your Mom's laugh.

My Dad just got out of the hospital, so we'll be heading to Natick tomorrow morning.

All our thoughts will be with you and Keith and your families.

Here's hoping we can get together soon.
