Marjorie Christian Obituary

Canton Marjorie R. Christian (Scanlan), age 85, of Canton passed away July 10th at the Milton Hospital after a brief illness. Born and raised in Braintree, she graduated from Braintree High School and received her BA in Education from Emmanuel College. She was also a Concert Pianist who received her training from the New England Conservatory. She has lived in Canton since 1965 and attended mass daily at St. Gerards Church in Canton. Beloved wife of the late Howard J. Sr. Mother of Emily J. and Magdalen R. Christian both of Canton, Dorothy F. Baker and her husband Martin of Plainville, Howard J. Jr. and his wife Diana of Braintree, David M. of Weymouth, Mark S. and his wife Cheryl of WA and John D. of Norwood and the late Carol A. Christian. Sister of the late William and Mary Scanlan and Dorothy Wallace. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St., Canton, Sunday, 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church, Canton, Monday morning at 10. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations may be made in her memory to Our Neighbors in Need c/o St. Gerard Majella Church, 1860 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021
