Dear Karen, Nancy, Cheryl and Bim,

Despite the sad circumstances which brought so many people together last night, I must tell you all that it brought a smile to my face to see you all again. Nearly forty years of my life disappeared and we were all much younger, stronger and more care-free, despite what our minds know and our eyes see to be different.

For a fleeting few years, Harry and I were probably as close as any cousins in the Davidson family. Even now, I find that some of the strongest feelings and fondest memories of my life are from those years, years in which Harry played so prominent a part.

We are all diminished when a good person leaves us behind, and this loss is no exception to that rule. But I'd like to think that, as Harry left us behind, there was some kind of persistent melody playing itself over and over in his head, a melody that told him that he had done well as a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a friend.

Dear Karen:

I'm sorry to hear of Harry's passing. My how the years have gone by. It seems like only yesterday when Harry and my brother John were in bands (doing what they liked to do) play music.

I'm sorry that I can't be there with you and the rest of the Davidson's, inasmuch as I now reside in Western New York (West Seneca to be exact).

All I know is that we may lose our loved ones, however, I'd like to believe that they have gone to a better place. One thing that we will always have is "those memories". We will always have those fond memories.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family.

Love ya.------Dennis
