Andrea Solmonte Obituary

Andrea G. Solmonte QUINCY , Andrea G. Andy (Getchell) Solmonte, September 1, 2008. Mrs. Solmonte passed away at the Quincy Medical on Monday. Born, raised and educated in Wiscasset, Maine. Andy was a graduate of Wiscasset Academy and also attended Colby College in Waterville, Maine. She worked at Betsy Lee Shoppe in Wollaston during the 50s and later for the Doten & Thompson Dress Shop in Quincy where she retired in 1982. She had a life long love the Boston Red Soxs and was past president of the North Quincy Seniors for 10 years. Mrs. Solmonte was predeceased by her late husbands, Thomas C. Solmonte and Lawrence Bradley. She was also predeceased by her late daughter Joan E. Bradley-Mays. Loving stepmother of Robert R. Solmonte and his wife Mona of South Yarmouth and June P. Danubio of Kingston. Sister of the late Dorothy McBurnie and Donnell Getchell. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held in the Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock Street, WOLLASTON on Friday, September 5th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Burial in the Blue Hills Cemetery Braintree. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in Mrs. Solmontes memory to The Evangelical Church of Atlantic 65 Newbury Ave. Quincy, MA 02171. Visit www.mem.com for memorial.
