Grace Althea Bennett

Grace Bennett BRAINTREE Grace Althea (Riley) Bennett, 87, of Braintree, passed away at the John Scott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Braintree on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. She was born in Charlestown and had resided in Braintree for many years. Althea was a former secretary at The Braintree Town Hall and later was employed by the General Dynamics Corp. before becoming the personal secretary for Isadore Grossman at the Grossman Company office. She was his personal secretary for the last fifteen years of her working life. She was the wife of the late John. L. Bennett. She is survived by four sons; John Bennett of Rockland, Richard Bennett of Weymouth, Brian Bennett of Braintree and Mark Bennett of Braintree. She was the mother of the late Paul Bennett. She is survived by two sisters: Barbara Maxwell of Florida and Marilyn McPhail of Providence, RI. She was the sister of the late Robert Weston. Daughter of the late Grace Weston and Albert Riley. A Funeral Service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., BRAINTREE on Friday, September 26th at 2:00 p.m. The Reverend Robert Killeffer, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Braintree will officiate. Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours will be Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
