Ethelene Mathisen Obituary

WEYMOUTH Ethelene G. (Mann) Mathisen, passed away at a Boston Hospital after a brief illness on October 4, 2008 at age 77. Wife of the late Carl E. Mathisen. Loving mother of Karen M. and her husband Steven Lyons of Hanson and Carl E. Mathisen of Medfield. Loving grandmother of James, Katelyn and Steven Lyons all of Hanson, Theresa McNeilly of Dudley and Marie Bentley of Bellingham. Loving great-grandmother of Emily, Leah and Tyler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She worked at Bradlees Corporation in Braintree in the Accounts Payable Dept for 7 years prior to her retirement in 1996. Previously she worked at Aster Corporation in Quincy for over 20 years as the plant manager. She was a Weymouth resident for the last 38 years and lived prior in Houghs Neck Quincy. She was an Avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed gardening. A Funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 8 at 12 noon at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Square) South Weymouth. Visiting Hours on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. Donations may be made in Ethelene's name to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
