Dorothea E. Grant MILTON Dorothea E. (Wallace ) Grant, died peacefully, at Milton Health Care, after a long illness on Monday, October 6. Born in Boston 88 years ago, Dorothea was a former longtime Dorchester resident and graduate of Dorchester High School for Girls, Class of 1938. She has been a Milton and Pocasset resident for many years. She was a former Manager for John Hancock Insurance, Co., Boston. The beloved wife of the late Edward J. Grant, she is survived by her devoted children: Mary L. Grant and her partner, Peter Clune of Milton, Patrick J. Grant and his wife Ellen C. of Walpole and Stephen X. Grant and his wife, Linda of Falmouth, her loving grandchildren, Caitlin and Brendan Grant and Domenic Cassell and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard V. and Edward N. Wallace A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gregory Church, Dorchester, Friday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in National Cemetery Bourne on Friday at 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Beacon Hospice, Inc., 15 Allertown St., Roxbury 02119.
