Fran & Marion Twomey Obituary

VERO BEACH, FL On October 11, 2008, the family and friends of Francis W. and Marion H. Twomey will remember the lives of two extraordinary giving and loving people. Francis "Fran" W. Twomey was 78 when he died in home in Vero Beach, Florida on January 25, 2006. Marion H. Twomey was 80 years old when she died in her home in Vero Beach, Florida on December 22. 2007. Fran and Marion were married for 52 years. The were both born in Boston, MA. They lived in Hanson, MA for 25 years and then moved to Hernando, FL in 1996. In 2003 they moved to Vero Beach, FL. Fran was the founder of the Tuco Grinding Corp. in Canton, MA where Marion also worked. Both were of the Catholic faith. Marion and Francis were also the founders of the Twomey Family Charitable Trust Foundation, granting scholarships to many local students. They were active in many charitable organizations, as well as the Catholic church. Fran was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Marion was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include their daughters, Helena Thomas of Carmel, NY, Maureen McIntyre of Sebastian, FL and Sheila MacNab-Millar of Amherst, MA, as well as four grandchildren, Anne Thomas of Bethel, CT, Patrick MacNab, Sean MacNab and James Millar, all of Amherst, MA Fran "Uncle Doc" and Marion "Babe" are missed dearly by their family. "They will live on in our hearts forever." Services were held following their deaths in Vero Beach, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. LOCAL SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St., Hanson, at 1 p.m. on October 11. Interment of ashes will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
