Franklin H. Page

HALIFAX Franklin H. Page of Halifax, formerly of Rockland, died Thursday, September 25th, 2008 at the Brockton Hospital after a short illness. He was 75. Born in Quincy, a graduate of Quincy Trade School and enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and spent most of his time in Japan. He became a master electrician and was employed by Western Union for 27 years. He also worked for Atlas Alarm Co. and was self employed and the business name was Alcomm Enterprises located in Rockland for 10 years. He was recently employed at Wal-Mart in Halifax for about 6 years. He loved to fly private planes and ride motor cycles and was an amateur radio operator. He was a member of the Wampatuck Lodge AF&AM in Hanson and Pilgrim Chapter No. 89, Order of The Easton Star of Hanson, also a member of the Weymouth Civil Defense and Halifax Civil Defense for many years. Franklin was the son of Stephen and Geraldine (MacKay) Page. He is survived by his devoted wife Carol L. (McConnell) Page. The loving father of Timothy Page of Quincy, Deborah A. Connell of Pembroke, Frank S. Page of Weymouth and step father of Christine Meeker of Plymouth. Brother of Joyce Poland of NH and Richard S. Page of NY. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday afternoon, October 13th, at 1 PM in the 1st Baptist Church of Hanson 214 Main St., Hanson. The Rev. Steve Youd will officiate. Members of the Easton Star and Mason's will also conduct a service. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
