My condolences to the family. I worked on and off for Roger during 80's and 90's. He was always fun to be with. He taught me how to handle work under pressure and never give up. I liked his direct attitude and energy. I was sad to hear the news and sorry to hear him pass away rather young.

Tracey & Jack,
I always considered Roger a friend I could always count on. I can assure you he will always be in my thoughts as will both of you.
I still remember Roger couldn't complete a sentense without adding a 4 letter word. I will so miss those conversations:))
If there is anything I can do for you, you have my number.

"The Rog" was truly one of my favorite people. Aside from the fact that he made THE BEST lobster bisque and lamb lollipops (among other things) he was a great friend, a visionary, extremely dry and quick witted, passionate about Tracy and Jack and the salt of the earth. I'm so sorry Leo and I couldn't be there this past week to celebrate his life with you but we were out of town and unable to get back for the services. Roger impacted our lives on so many levels and he will be greatly missed. I have so many wonderful memories of him and I'm grateful to have had him as my friend.

I knew Roger along with his brother Richard, both great guys was very shocked to hear of his death. I use to take care of his books when he first started. I will always remember when my ex-mother-in-law was here and we were going to cook turkey for Thanksgiving. It was bad, and the gang at Bare Cove came through for me I called Roger and he had a few turkeys left and gave me one. He saved the day. He was a great guy. Sorry for the loss.

Tracey, Jack & Family - Some 12 years ago I was a rookie sales rep. for Sysco and my boss Ken Blasser said "good news, I have an account for you, it's Dagwoods in Hingham. See Roger. By the way, he's tough, real tough. If you make it you'll be his 8th rep. in 2 years. Good Luck." I stopped by and introduced myself. He did'nt even lift his head. He says "Oh goody, another Sysco fluncky". I stood tall with my mouth shut. He paused and stared me up and down and said "tomorrow 0700 dont be late". In a very short time and a few credits later, we became close friends meeting Tracey, her family and friends, enjoying real food and lifelong memories in their home. Then came Jack. Soon Roger and Jack would spend Saturday nights with me and my boys while the girls were working. The boys learned Keno at an early age. We were lucky enough to spend a few Thanksgivings and Christmas Eve's together in our home. I will miss seeing Roger in action. He was a tough act to follow. I've never met someone quite like him. He was unique and unforgettable. He will be in my heart forever !

Tracy and Jack: We are so very sorry for your loss. Roger will be remembered for his wit, his fine food and being a very fine neighbor. As a new family to the area over 6 years ago, we were delighted to meet the three of you. We were relieved to live so close to this eccentric wonderful family full of love and great humor. The Memorial Day parties will be remembered for Roger being at his best. We are here for you guys and look forward to celebrating Roger's life.
All our love, Marlon, Les and Katie

My very deepest sympathy to all of Roger's loved ones.
I have many fond and fun memories of Roger and Richard from our college days and last saw Roger in 2006 when I needed some help with a party. Of course, he came to my rescue.
We pledged then to get together sometime and catch up and never did.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

These are some of my memories of Roger. It was a comfort to know he was telling you his truth straight out with no fillers and no nonsense. He threw great Memorial Day parties and fed us all well numerous other times. He shared with my family a recipe for salad dressing which is now my very favorite. He was generous in many ways and made a point of being especially sweet to my young daughter while helping to put the older boys well in their place when needed. He seemed to have limited tolerance for some of the ongoing suburban drama in which we are all so entrenched. When he heard enough he was quick to put us adults in our place as well. We will miss him but with fine and quirky memories.
