Donald Decoste Obituary

HULL Donald P. DeCoste, age 61, of Hull, formerly of South Boston and Quincy, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Quincy schools and has lived in Hull for many years, previously in South Boston and Braintree. Mr. DeCoste was a self employed clam digger for many years and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Beloved husband of Jeanne (Zygarowski) DeCoste. Devoted brother of Gloria J. Dougenik and her husband James of Quincy. At the request of the family, funeral services will be private. Visiting hours are omitted. For those who wish, donations in Mr. DeCostes memory may be made to the Quincy Animal Shelter, 56 Broad Street, Quincy, MA 02169 Arrangements under the direction of the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy.

Mr. DeCoste,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War. Millions of Americans slept safe at night because you and your fellow servicemen stood ready to defend our Country. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
