Marilyn Noun Obituary

Marilyn Noun BRAINTREE Marilyn Ann Noun (Norton), age 78, of Braintree, formerly of Boston, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth. Marilyn was born and raised in Boston. Graduate of Jeramiah E. Burke High School and Boston Clerical School. Married to her late husband John Noun in 1957. Resident of Braintree for the past 40 years. Retired in 1996 from the former E.H. Saxton Co. in Boston after 48 years. She was a member of the Boston Jewelers Club, New England Women's Jewelry Assoc., Diamond Peacock Club and the first woman member and rose to be President. Marilyn was voted Woman of the Year in 1988 by Women's Jewelry Assoc. Her biggest joy and love was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, bingo, jigsaw puzzles and old movies. Beloved wife of the late John Noun. Loving mother of John A. Noun Jr. of Reading, Joanne Noun Morrison and her husband Jack of Braintree and Scituate, Paul Noun and his wife Dale of Braintree, Gail Noun Marra and her husband Nick of Holliston. Devoted Grandmother of Anthony John "A.J." Marra, Evan and Noah Noun. Loving daughter of the late John and Marion (Curley) Norton. Sister of John H. Norton Jr. of Scituate. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, SO. WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18, opposite South Shore Hospital), Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church (Weymouth Landing) at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4-8. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations may be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Church, 55 Commercial St., Weymouth, MA 02188. mcdonald-funeralhomes.com
