John Bowen Obituary

WEYMOUTH John "Johnny" A. Bowen, of Weymouth passed away at home on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at age 53. Born in Quincy, where he was raised and educated, he lived here most of his life. A former U.S. Army Veteran, Johnny was an employee of Perri, Inc. and enjoyed fishing and golf in his spare time. The beloved father of Sheri Bowen of Quincy and loving grandfather of Kylee Roberts and Marco Penaflor, he is the brother of Cheryl Palermo, Susan Young and Charles Foster, all of Quincy and Margaret Svizzero of FL. Also survived by his niece Nicole Palermo and his nephews Roger Palermo and Michael, John and Patrick Young. His Funeral Service will be conducted at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St. (off Hancock St.), Quincy Center on Monday, October 20 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours are on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30pm. My sympathies go out to john and his family. I knew johnny for the better part of thirty yrs. he was funny, sentimental and at times quite charming . he will be missed.
