Andrew Guerini Obituary

Andrew J. Guerini MILTON Andrew J. Guerini, passed away suddenly at Milton Hospital on October 16. Born in Boston, Mr. Guerini grew up in Mattapan and graduated from Hyde Park High School. The late owner of L. Guerini Inc., Concrete Pumping Co., Mattapan, he had worked his entire life in this family business. He was a late member of the Italian American Citizens Club, Mattapan, Sons of Italy - Milton Chapter, the Milton Town Club, a Milton Kiwanis Hall of Fame Member, the Cunningham Mens Bowling League, a founding member & past Pres. of N.E. Concrete Pumping Assn, a late member of the American Concrete Pumping Assn and a former member of the Utility Contractors Assn. Mr. Guerini was a Korean War Marine Corps Veteran. During the War he received special clearance to handle Top Secret Affairs for the U.S. Naval Dept. The beloved husband of Marie F. (DeRusha), he is also survived by his devoted children; Andrew J. Guerini Jr., Joanne G. Magliozzi, both of Milton & Rosemarie W. Guerini of FL, his loving grandchildren; Andrew J. Guerini, III and Anthony A. & Michael L. Magliozzi. He was the brother of the late Richard A. Guerini. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Monday 4 to 8 PM. Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during the Korean War. Anad to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Andy.

Although I did not get to know him very well, I did observe that he seemed to be a very quiet,but caring compassionate man.

I know he was a caring and loving individual. He would no have joined Kiwanis International otherwise.

God has called him home. His work is done here on earth.

God will take good care of him now and forever.
