Edward Clancy Obituary

Edward J. Clancy QUINCY Edward J. Clancy, age 91, died in Quincy Medical Center on Tues., Oct. 21. Born in Springfield, Mr. Clancy was raised in Springfield and graduated from Pittsfield High School. Edward has resided in Quincy for 58 years. Mr. Clancy, a WW II Army veteran, served in the 6th Armored Div. under Gen. George S. Patton. Decorated Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge recipient of the Africa, Normandy, and Ardennes Campaigns. Ret. 30 yr. employee of Pneumatic Scale Corp., Quincy and former employee of Ford Motors, Somerville and former member of the Morrissette Post 294, A.L. Edward is survived by his beloved wife, of 61 yrs., Katherine A. (Combinas); his two sons, Peter E. Clancy, QPD and Paul J. Clancy and his daughter-in-law Mary Clancy all of Quincy, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. He is the brother of the late Joseph Clancy. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Quincy Friday morning at 10. Visiting hour at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton Friday morning 8:30 to 9:30 prior to Mass. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. www.alfreddthomas.com Alfred D. Mr. Clancy,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II fighting the Germans as a Combat Infantryman with the 6th "Super Sixth" Armored Division. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
