Robert Chase Obituary

BREWSTER Robert W. Chase, Sr., 82 years old of Brewster, passed away on October 22, 2008 at Soldiers Home in Chelsea MA where he received excellent comfort and care. Born in Boston, he was the son of Hezekiah and Pearl (Wilson) Chase. He was a graduate of Mechanar Auto School in Boston and then entered the Navy, where he served 8 years and 5 years U.S. Navy Reserve. He then entered the U.S. Air Force, earning rank of Staff Sgt. He was a Metal Smith, Aviation Hydraulics Mechanic and Machinist by trade working for Northrop, Fore River Ship Yard, and then later for the Town of Weymouth. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years Jean Shirley (Blaney) Chase, 3 Sons; Robert W. Chase Jr. and his wife Cecile of New Durham, NH, Roger W. Chase of New Durham, NH, and R. Wayne Chase and his wife Patricia of Harwich, MA. In addition he leaves 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Bob enjoyed the comforts and privacy of his home, tending to his vegetable garden, and earlier years of sailing his sunfish. All Services are private.
